Microbial Inoculants
Microbial inoculants are living microorganisms that act as biostimulants or biocontrol agents and are considered to be multipurpose because of their various effects and mechanisms in plants, including positive effects on seed germination.
Description
Beneficial microorganisms come in many forms – mycorrhizae, bacteria, and fungi. What they have in common are the many benefits they can provide for your garden and your home or farm. These include odor control, the breaking down of organic matter, balanced and living soil, vibrant root systems and healthy plant growth with higher yields. The microbial inoculants that we carry can deliver these things and so much more.
This finely powdered, organic soil amendment/bioinoculant has been formulated with three microbes (Rhizobacteria, Trichoderma fungi and Mycorrhizal fungi) and supplemental nutrients. This combination of microbes works synergistically together to maximize their effect and the nutrients (humic/fulvic acid, amino acid, kelp, molasses) provide ongoing nutritional support for the microbes as they stimulate root growth and work their way into the soil. As these beneficial microbes establish themselves, they will out compete fungal pathogens, insects, or parasitic bacteria that try to set up shop. Mikrobs also offers these additional benefits:
- Improves cation exchange & nutrient uptake
- Increases resistance to biotic & abiotic stressors
- Restores soil balance and fertility
- Produces metabolites for plant growth & photosynthesis
- pH moderation
- Manages soil balance
- Expansion of lateral roots & root hairs
- Retains organic matter and nutrients in the soil
- Improves phosphate and nitrogen availability
Once you begin using Mikrobs, you are on your way to continued robust plant health and growth, as the trio of microbes it contains will provide a self-sustaining soil ecosystem with active propagation. Additionally, this quick-dissolving and easy to use powder is extremely versatile with multiple applications, and long-lasting with a shelf life of 2 years.
